Good to know
Questions, answered.
The practical details of a stay at Casa da Fortuna. Anything not covered here, ask in your enquiry — we reply personally.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in from 3pm, check-out by 11am. If your travel plans need different times, mention it in your enquiry and we will do our best to accommodate.
Is there a minimum stay?
Seven nights in the summer season, five nights the rest of the year. For other lengths of stay, it is always worth asking.
How does booking and payment work?
No payment is taken at enquiry. Once we confirm availability, a 30% deposit secures your dates and the balance is due before arrival — the exact schedule is set out clearly in our personal reply.
Are children welcome?
Very much so. The villa sleeps up to ten guests across five bedrooms, and the enclosed garden estate gives children room to roam. Tell us the ages of your party when enquiring so we can prepare.
Can we bring a pet?
Well-behaved pets are welcome. Let us know who is coming when you enquire.
How private is the villa?
The house and its 3,750m² garden estate are entirely yours for the length of your stay — no shared spaces, no other guests.
How far is the beach?
700 metres — under ten minutes’ walk through protected coastal parkland to the Atlantic.
How do we get there?
Faro Airport (FAO) is approximately 22 km away — 25 to 30 minutes by car. The villa sits in Fonte Santa, on the coast between Quarteira and Vale do Lobo, on the doorstep of the Algarve’s Golden Triangle.
How quickly will you reply to an enquiry?
Personally, and usually within 24 hours — by email or WhatsApp, whichever you prefer.
